Mwenya Kawesha is a leader in making AI work for all and championing the arts. She was most recently Chief of Staff at Logically, focused on making the internet safer with AI working with governments and enterprises in the US, UK and India. In 2020 she joined Faculty where she led on delivering AI child safety solutions and latterly business strategy and operations. In 2015 she joined Accenture Strategy and published thought leadership with the World Bank and World Economic Forum.
She began her career in New York working for President Clinton’s Global Initiative in 2010, bringing together leaders to address the world’s most pressing challenges. Mwenya was a Young Leader at the US Embassy and in 2016 was invited to speak with The White House and attend President Obama’s Town Hall in London.
In February 2020 Mwenya was appointed onto the Board of trustees at the Royal Court Theatre, which cultivates undiscovered, emerging and established playwrights. Mwenya has performed as a vocalist at the BBC Proms and with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. She also performed as an actor at venues including The Royal Court Theatre and The National Theatre.
She has been featured in major publications such as The Guardian and also filmed for a Channel 4 documentary called Inside the US Embassy.
Mwenya graduated with MA(Hons) in Modern History from Oxford University.
